The Wolftrap name is a tribute to European settlers who in the early days of the Cape erected a wolf trap at Boekenhoutskloof, although it was later determined that wolves do not inhabit the region. This delicious red drinks like a fine Rhone, and is a blend of Syrah, Mourvedre and a smattering of Viognier. It is full of black fruits, red and black berries with some violet flavors. Smooth on the palate with fresh aromas of wild strawberries and cherries.
