L'Ecole No. 41 is one of Walla Walla's pioneers, the third modern day winery in the Valley. Over the years the winery has prospered, outgrown the namesake schoolhouse depicted on its label, and now produces about 35,000 cases with distribution in all 50 states and abroad. Despite the expansion, quality has remained consistently excellent. Truly, Washington's Columbia Valley stands a good chance in the next decade of giving Napa a real run for its money as the natural home of America's greatest Cabernets. With a classic varietal Cabernet profile, this lushly structured and integrated wine shows dark fruit, blackberry, cassis and leather aromas with flavors of ripe plum, bittersweet chocolate and black cherry on an earthy, spicy finish.
